Comprehensive Cover (Domestic)

TRAVELCARD COMPREHENSIVE COVER (DOMESTIC)

Domestic tourism has been steadily increasing over the last decade, as Australians explore our beautiful country[1]. While travelling domestically you can still experience cancelled flights, lose luggage or have your wallet stolen – making travel insurance just as important if you’re holidaying here in Australia as when you are travelling overseas.

TravelCard was ranked number 1 for domestic single-trip travel insurance policies in the October 2019 CHOICE Insurance Review[2]. So, whether you are holidaying in Darwin or Daylesford, you can travel with peace of mind.

DISCOVER THE BENEFITS OF REAL-TIMETM TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH TRAVELCARD

Usually, travel insurance requires you to cover costs yourself, claim when you get home, then wait and worry.  When taking out TravelCard travel insurance, we also give you the option to be sent a TravelCard. If your luggage is delayed or cash is stolen, we can load money on the card to help cover your expenses – so you can get back to enjoying your holiday. It’s how travel insurance should be.

Luggage delayed?
When your luggage isn’t where you are, it’s hard to begin your holiday. Just call us and once approved we can add up to $150 to the TravelCard to buy emergency essentials.

Cash stolen?
No cash, no holiday! Call us and if approved we can put up to $250 on the TravelCard to help you in the interim.

Please refer to our product disclosure statements for full terms and conditions, limits and exclusions.

CRUISES IN AUSTRALIAN WATERS

Medicare or your private health insurance will usually not cover the costs of using the medical facilities on a cruise ship, even if it is staying within Australian territorial waters. This means you may be out of pocket if you need to see a doctor unexpectedly while on board.

You can add Cruise Cover to your Domestic Comprehensive Cover to ensure you are covered for unforeseen medical expenses (including medical evacuation) even while you are within Australian territorial waters, cabin confinement, pre-paid shore excursion cancellation, lost or damaged or delayed arrival of formal attire, marine rescue diversion and missed port.

OTHER TRAVELCARD POLICIES

Frequent traveller or travelling overseas? TravelCard also offers Annual Multi-Trip Cover and a choice of either Comprehensive or Basic Cover for international travel.

If you need help finding a policy that suits you, call our customer service team on 1300 123 413.

All benefits and covers are subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions listed in the Combined Financial Services Guide and Product Disclosure Statement and on other policy documentation, including the schedule.
